"Those among you who will be truly happy
are those who have sought and found how to serve."
– Dr. Albert Scheweitzer
In addition to basic membership contributions, the Watershed Association receives substantial support from foundations, corporations, and private individuals.
Our Main Office, Nature Center, and Nature Reserve were all donated over a period of years by one very generous and farsighted woman, Dr. Muriel Gardiner Buttinger.
In Dr. Buttinger's memory, we recognize supporters who make contributions of $5,000 or more as members of the Muriel Buttinger Society. These dedicated donors provide essential funding for the Watershed Association, and can associate their support with a specific program or aspect of the Watershed Association's work that means the most to them. Maintaining the Nature Reserve, supporting our environmental education programs, or underwriting our stream monitoring efforts are examples.
You can contribute bonds, appreciated stocks, or mutual fund shares. You may prefer to plan a deferred gift, such as a bequest in your will, or a beneficiary designation of your IRA, life insurance policy, or Charitable Remainder Trust. All of the above contributions to the Watershed Association are tax deductable.
Whether you are interested in making a gift now or are contemplating future gifts to the Watershed Association, please call Betsy Grimes, Director of Development, to discuss your interests and learn more about opportunities to support the Watershed Association's critical work.
